Writers Simeon Berry and Heather
Hirschi will read their work on October
5th at the Salt Lake City Public Library at 7:00 P.M. as part of the City Art
Reading Series.
Simeon Berry won the 2013
National Poetry Series for his first collection of poetry, Ampersand
Revisited (Fence Books), and the 2014 National Poetry Series for his
second book of poetry, Monograph (University of Georgia
Press). He has been an Associate Editor for Ploughshares and
won a Massachusetts Cultural Council Individual Artist Grant. He
lives in Somerville, Massachusetts.
Heather Hirschi is an Assistant
Professor in the English Department at the University of Utah where she was
awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award
in 2010 and 2012.
Most featured
readings are followed by an open reading. City Art is sponsored by the Utah
Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Catalyst, the Salt Lake City Public Library, Xmission, and the Zoo,
Arts, and Park Fund.
