City Art Presents Joshua Rivkin, Brandon Som, and Susan Goslee

            Poets Joshua Rivkin, Brandon Som, and Susan Goslee will present their work on April 20th at the Salt Lake City Public Library at 7:00 P.M. as part of the City Art Reading Series. 

Brandon Som is the author of The Tribute Horse (Nightboat Books), winner of the 2015 Kate Tufts Discovery Award, and the chapbook Babel's Moon (Tupelo Press), winner of the Snowbound Prize. His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in LitHub, Octopus Magazine, Indiana Review, and Black Warrior Review. A former fellow at the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, he is currently the Anne Newman Sutton Weeks Poet-in-Residence at Westminster College. In the fall, he will be joining the creative writing faculty at the University of California, San Diego.
 
Joshua Rivkin's poems and essays have appeared in the New YorkerVirginia Quarterly ReviewSlateBest New Poets, and elsewhere. He has received a winter fellowship from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, a Stegner Fellowship in poetry from Stanford, a work-study scholarship from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, and a Fulbright Fellowship to Italy. He is currently working on a nonfiction book about the life and art of Cy Twombly. 
 
 
Susan Goslee’s poems have appeared in such journals as West BranchCimarron ReviewThe Carolina Quarterly, and Salamander. She teaches at Idaho State University.
Most featured readings are followed by an open reading. City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Catalyst, the Salt Lake City Public Library, Xmission, and the Zoo, Arts, and Park Fund.
