City Art will present its annual meltdown on Wednesday,September 2nd at 7:00 P.M. at the Salt Lake Public Library Main Branch. This year’s meltdown includes Shanan Ballam,Pam Balluck, Lara Candland, Rob Carney, Raphael Dagold, Lynn Kilpatrick, JoelLong, Adam Love, Michael McLane, Jacqueline Osherow, Natasha Saje, Laura Stott,Jennifer Tonge, Jerry VanIeperen, and Mike White , among others. The meltdown includes the top vote-gettersamong Utah writers and so offers fifteen to twenty of the best literary figuresof the state reading for five minutes each. It traditionally begins the City Art Reading series, which meets thefirst three Wednesdays of every month from September through June. City Art is SaltLake’s longest-running reading series and provides a unique forum for theliterary arts during their weekly programs on each of the first threeWednesdays of the month from September to May at the Salt Lake City PublicLibrary. City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, Catalyst, the Salt Lake City PublicLibrary, Xmission, and the Zoo, Arts, and Park Fund. Joel Long
