Writers François Camoin and Lance Olsen will read from their work on November 18th at 7:00 at the Salt Lake Public Library Main Branch as part of the City Art
Reading Series.
François Camoin was born in France and now teaches creative writing at the University of Utah. He has published two novels, a
critical book on Jacobean drama, and four collections of short stories,
including his new book April.
Lance Olsen is author of nineteen books of and about
innovative fiction. His stories and essays have appeared in a wide
variety of journals, including Conjunctions, McSweeney's, Hotel Amerika, Black WarriorReview,
and Best American Non-Required Reading. An
N.E.A. Fellowship, Fulbright, and Pushcart Prize recipient, and finalist for the Philip
K. Dick Award, he teaches experimental narrative theory and practice at the University of Utah.
The event is free and open to the public. City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts
Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Zoo, Arts, and Parks, XMission, and
audience donations. The featured
reading will be followed by an open reading.
