Hello Everyone,

We would like to express thanks for the excellent feedback you have given regarding the newly allowed 8XX $x field. The message was overwhelmingly clear that you would prefer the $x not be retained in any series 8XX field.

In accordance with this, we are happy to announce that we have written new code that will remove $x from all series 8XX fields: 800, 810, 811 and 830. This went into effect yesterday.

Please Note: The default is to remove this subfield -- if you want the $x left in you will need to let us know so we can turn the parameter off.
