We just wanted to briefly notify you of the number of authorities received this week now that Phase 2 is officially underway at Library of Congress:
NAF = 69,099 total authorities; 62,611 had 040 $e rda
- Our thought is that the 6,488 non-rda name authorities may have come from catalogers still doing AACR2 cataloging, rather than from the machine processing that Phase 2 is addressing.
SAF = no RDA updates (which is expected)
