Campbell, who died in 2008. Aside from the massive “Illumatus!” cycle of
plays (on which he worked with Bill Drummond), Campbell had an incidental
but crucial effect on the whole Liverpool punk scene, and in later years
became a regular on the Alf Garnett sit-com “In Sickness and In Health”
