Dear FIDOS Members,
Please don't forget to vote tomorrow (Tuesday, November 3, 2009). Off year
elections have notoriously low voter turn outs, so, your vote will mean so
much more in our local elections! The City Council Candidates that are
elected tomorrow will decide the future of Parley's Historic Nature Park and
many other off leash dog related issues. FIDOS has endorsed a candidate in
each race, to make your decision at the polls that much easier! Please keep
in mind that these candidates have either shown support of off leash issues
in the past, and/or, attended our forum and have made clear their intentions
to support off leash areas in the future.
If you are in district 7 of Salt Lake City, your vote is especially
important. Soren is by far our most ardent supporter. His support for off
leash areas has been unwavering and it is important to us that he maintains
his seat on the City Council. If you don't live in the district, but have
friends that do, please encourage them to go out and vote tomorrow.
