I know one individual who gets a lot of mileage out of Pandora. It's helped her construct DJ sets that include material she might otherwise not have known about. It's not quite as Orwellian a system as the approach of this article's teaser might mislead you to conclude.

"On first listen" is another weasel phrase that is grist for the mill of low-class journalism.
