Instants Chavirés is one of the most famous
french venue dedicated to improvised music (from
free jazz to most recent electroacoustic improv
trends) and indie rock/noise music too.
Most of improvisers from all over the world have
performed in this place located in Montreuil,
very close to Paris. Starting at the beginning of
the 1990s, IC have always received financial
support from french institutions. But at the
beginning of july 2009, their subsidies have been
dramatically reduced. So they had to cancel all
the programmed concerts till the end of this year.
