Subject: [Urcfriends] Reminder: Please act now on HB187!
House Bill 187 will be amended today on the house floor. These amendments
will do little to improve this bad bill. Please contact your representative
in the house and ask him or her to speak in favor of sending this bill to
interim study. Please be courteous and respectful to your hard working
representatives.

House Bill 187, sponsored by Rep. Ben Ferry, would greatly restrict anglers
and other outdoorsmen to limited stretches of Utah rivers and streams where
they cross private lands. This legislation is of great concern, not just to
outdoorsmen, but to all those who depend upon Utah's roughly $1 Billion in
river related recreation from residents and tourists alike.
