Our February concert dates are now Friday, February 20th in Nephi and Friday, February 27th at the American Leadership Academy in Spanish Fork. Both concerts will be at 8:00, and last about one hour. Hopefully, this is enough advance notice that everyone can make plans to play with us. The publicity committee, headed up by Catherine Jungheim, will be making some posters available for us to distribute in our communities. I know a lot of you would rather not be bothered with this, but please help us out. We are in our third concert season and still fighting to be noticed. If you don't help us out, you need to find somebody who will, and tell them to contact me about joining the orchestra board. Talk about the orchestra whenever you get the chance, especially to people who show an interest in entertainment activities. It's not everyone who has a symphony orchestra in the neighborhood! You should be proud of what you are doing. We can't just sit around and wait for people to notice - we have to tell them how much they need us. Believe me, I have seen some of our concerts on the local channel here in Spanish Fork, and the live performance is ten times better! By the way, we are going to need a couple of people to handle the box office at the Spanish Fork concert on Feb 27th. PLEASE ask around - your spouse, your sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles and cousins, your neighbor, your friend, your coworker. You might be surprised at the good results you get just by opening your mouth and asking. It's called the "Aladdin Factor" - you just have to ASK. If they run the box office, they sell tickets and keep a count, and then attend the concert for free!
