Hello supporters and members of Salt Lake Film Society,
I wanted to let you know personally that after our preliminary quarter
ending July 3, 2008 we will no longer retain full time screening
presence in St. George at the Red Cliffs Cinemas. SLFS staff will
continue to work with the owners of Red Cliff Cinemas to present
screenings and film projects in the theater and in the area as often as
possible. We have an amazing local theater staff and they will look
forward to seeing you throughout this month to discuss cinema and SLFS
programs.
Titles we are opening before July 1 THE FALL, SON OF RAMBOW, BEFORE THE
FALL and probably two or three others we'll try and get you. I will
continue to send a weekly update of schedule. We are still playing
YOUNG AT HEART and many other favorites like THE VISITOR and THEN SHE
FOUND ME.
I would like to extend both a personal thank you as well as a warm thank
you from our staff and volunteers. Each of us are very aware of your
continued support and we look forward to special events in the region.
Your strong support of independent film and Salt Lake Film Society has
made a difference and we promise to retain a presence in your community
with special free and filmmaker screenings. After evaluating the
marketplace for the past five months, we believe there is a strong
desire and an audience for independent film and film education in the
Southern Utah area.
Members of SLFS in the St. George area who paid a full membership fee
and would like to receive a refund, may contact SLFS at (801) 746-0038
to speak with Jim, or reply to this email. If members would like to
continue supporting independent film and SLFS by remaining on the SLFS
mailing list, you will be informed of special screenings and
activities. You will also remain on the mailing list to take advantage
of offerings in the Salt Lake City theaters when traveling to or
visiting the Wasatch Front.

showtimes for the weekend.
We look forward to seeing you at the theaters until the end of the
month. Don't hesitate to talk with our staff and volunteers about their
experience and the movies and please continue to visit the theater often
as not to miss the amazing line-up we have coming. I personally really
admire THE FALL and SON OF RAMBOW and think you will find great joy in
these films.
