Hi,
www.thesage.com (our mailing list hosts) sell an additive called
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate which is advertised as a foaming
ingredient for use in cream soaps. Not sure if it's applicable for
shower gels but you might either ask them or perhaps someone else
here has more experience using it...
