The 2008 Bicycle Tour of Colorado is June 22nd thru June 28th -- 7 days, 408 miles and
30,000+ ft of climbing. If any of you have riden in previous years, I would be very interested to hear about your experience.
This year's tour starts and ends in Durgano and goes thru Ouray, Montrose,
Telluride (a day off in Telluride), Naturita, and Cortez. The cost for the tour
is ~$365. You can purchase various meal plans (all meals is $275.00).

I am driving to Durango -- via Moab and staying a nite or two-- leaving SLC either Friday
( June 20th_or early Sat morning (June 21) -- to arrive in Durango Sunday
morning for the start. I have room for one more rider and bicycle. Since I have a 4-bike rack, I am thinking about bringing my mountain bike for a Moab ride on Saturday.
My goal is to finish each day's riding before dark -- I plan on enjoying the mountain scenery, climbing at my own pace -- and staying in control on the decents. In other words I
anticipate riding alone, but would enjoy the company on the drive down and
back and meeting with folks back at camp.

However, the tour does overlap with the MS150 this year. Maybe next year, BCC can get a group of six together for early registration.
