Hmm...Does that mean I got onto some DEA list for buying this stuff
from a hardware store with credit card? ACK! I hope not. I'd rather
not get tagged for an innocent use...

One more word of caution when mixing your lye/distilled water
solution...The mixture will immediately reach a relatively high
temperature (160-180 degrees in my experience), so aside from the
other words of caution about the caustic nature of NaOH (aka lye),
the temperature of the resultant mix is sufficient to burn you both
chemically and in the traditional sense, ie, it gets darned hot!
Always use goggles, sleeved shirts if possible, and handle the entire
process using rubber gloves.

On that ore...Does anyone have experience using liquid lye solutions?
If so, would you be willing to share your experience with this
product (vs crystal form)
