Wow! You people are great! Thanks for so many responses about pricing. I
think this is a good time to get thigs rolling
if we want to sell, as the medical community is finally realizing, natural
is best. Have any of you heard of Emvirnmental
Working Group? This is a group who test for chemical toxins in the products
we use. I always knew there was something
in soap that didn't agree with my body, as I always had these deep pockets
of goo that accumulate. They would get so
sore I could barely stand to touch them, let alone have to empty them. Then
I started making soap. After a few weeks of
using my soap, they went away. I didn't realize it until we were on a road
trip staying in motels and using public restrooms.
I got them back! It still didn't click, as I was so used to having them.
We moved. All my soaps were packed up, none
went in the car with us. It only took a few nights for those nasty things
to return, and it finally clicked! Once we were settled
and my soaps found, again, they disappeared over a few weeks. It is either
chemicals used in soap or the fact the commercial
soaps do not use cold pressed vegetable oils. Anyway, my son was having
the same problems, so Isent him some soap and
suggested he use it. It took him a couple of years to get around to it, and
then only after he read an article that pointed out the
shampoo he was using had many ingredients that are harmful and can even
cause cancer if used! He finally got out my soap
and used it and could not believe how his skin felt after ward. That was my
early in the hobby soap and not as good as what
I make now. It had shortening in it, something I would not dream of using
today. Anyway, those of you who want to look up
different ingredients and the informatin that has been gathered on it, go
to: http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/index.php?nothanks=1

Do keep in mind that some of the products may not be harmful, but they may
be an absorption enhancer that carries all ingredients
deep into the skin, good and bad, therefore being labeled as questionable or
potentially harmful. Remember when you are searching
for natural ingredients, to use "Vegetable Base Glycerin" for example.
THere is both vegetable and animal based and the animal based
is what the commercial industry uses, it is cheaper by far, and it clogs the
skin, is a cancer concern, etc.

Have a great day and again, thank you everyone for all the great info.
Claire, I like those bags you sent info on. Those really look like
a wonderful item to have! IF you can see the product, and have a place to
label it as well, what more do we need?

Another supply source is http:www.papermart.com I don't think they have the
lip-n-seal bags, but they have a great variety of many
packaging items and their prices are great as well. It is located in Los
Angeles, California, so for those of us here on the Eastern side,
shipping costs do need to be considered. When we lived in the Pacific
Northwest, we couldn't find a place that beat their prices and
their quality is great as well.

Have a great day!
