Ah, the old "Lemon Tree".
I did my own little investigation back when the debate ran on the Sting
newsgroup (alt.fan.sting), and I discovered something interesting:
I knew that it was not Sting singing, because I knew the band Fool's
Garden (German, I believe), and the way I remebered the song, it was
never one that I could mistake for a Sting song. So I decided to track
down the original cd and compared it to the verson floating around on
Napster (and Audiogalaxy - remember that one, boys and girls?), and it
was undoubtedly the same song, but the Napster version was slightly
faster, giving the singer a slightly higher pitch that - admittedly -
made him sound very much like Sting.
