I pick up copies of vintage men's magazines if I come across them for cheap... The French LUI magazine is a favorite. I once scored a stack of copies from the late 60s - va-va-voom photo shoots with BB, Jane Fonda, Jane Birkin... Ads for the Barbarella comics... A multipage fashion shoot of Serge and Jane strutting around in mod threads... That ad for Gaulouises or Gilette or whatever that Alice Springs shot (as a stand in for her husband Helmut Newton) and that meant the launch of her own career as a photographer...
One issue had an article about top-range turntables. Had me positively drooling.
