[Exotica] Denny and Lyman in Playboy

I was perusing the July 1959 digital edition of Playboy (for the articles,
of course) and found ads for Martin Denny's Afro-desia, Exotica and
Primativa then, four pages later, an ad for Arthur Lyman's Pele. All the
albums were stereo, with a note that the Denny albums were also available in
mono.

It was an interesting issue in that it was a "beatnik issue" with an article
on the beats, which printed some of their poetry and a beatnik girl
centerfold. There was also an interesting ad where you could send away to
Spain for a bullfight poster with your name on it and of course one for real
French berets. I noticed that '59 also marked the advent of the small car
with ads from Volvo and Renault.
