Dear Members of the CKF,
Today is the first day of the legislative session, and it will go until
March 5. During these weeks, we will not be holding an official meeting of
the CKF coalition. However, your help is still paramount during this time as
we will be sending out actions e-lerts and information throughout the
session. Please do your best to respond by contacting your personal
legislators as well as advocating on behalf of your organizations (as it is
possible). There are many proposals, in particular with regard to health
care, that will be on the table this session, and your support or voice of
concern is vital to either helping or preventing these move along through
the process.
We also encourage you to continue outreach efforts for CHIP and Medicaid.
Utilizing these programs to their full capacity is crucial in order to
demonstrate the need for greater resources in covering children in Utah.
