There is a book caled The Mule Alternative that studies mule use in Western
American history. It is a facsinating read with quotes from Osbourne
Russell, Meek and other period authors. I am not suggesting that you trade
out your trusted horses for mules Kim, but since the subject is at hand I
thought I would throw that out.
