That's true. I participated in what were essentially forums 25 years
ago. It was very time-consuming. It still is, and I only do it when I
really need to. I run a forum myself that I only visit about once a
month. E-mail is a heck of a lot more convenient.

If it could be set up like Yahoo or Google groups, where there is a
forum and an e-mail list that all messages go to, and each member can
choose to use one or both, I think it would be a lot more likely to succeed.
