Maybe when you're OFT (old,fat & tired) like me you'll get over that
hope. I decided a while back that I am simply not required to give my
time to something that I feel has not done enough to earn my devotion.
I've walked out on a few plays (at intermission) and put down (pun
intended) a few books in my day. In fact, I've recently grown too weary
of trying to make any sense out of anything that Gene Wolfe has written.
(Anybody interested in trade editions of all 4 + 1 books of the New Sun,
all 4 books of the Long Sun, all 3 books of the Short Sun, all 2 books of
the Wizard Knight and the first 2 books of Latro? Goin' cheap!)
