But no one has remotely argued for this. You're setting up a
strawman. I'll lay really good odds that you won't find a single
person on this list who denies that child abuse has been covered up
nor that it is a real problem in Utah as in the rest of the world.
Further no one would deny that as the nation grappled with the
problem, primarily in the 1990's, that there were various Mormons who
put image ahead of the welfare of children.
Had Beck engaged with those issues I'd not criticize her in the
least. Too bad that wasn't what her book was about.
