I completely agree with this paragraph from Martindale. I'm only
glancing through much of this thread, and see that others are linking
to their comments about this book, and these were my comments just
about excerpts of it which I read back when it was first published -
excerpts which, it turns out, are very possibly half of them
fabrications by people opposing Beck! What a mess. I've been advised
the tone of my comments may not always be preferable :) and I can see
some of them as very possibly hyperbolic and even paranoid - but it's
hard not to be paranoid when such very antagonistic things are said
about folks of my faith.. if Beck actually said those things. So
again, what a mess! Okay, okay, maybe someday I'll sort out what Beck
actually said and didn't, and clean up needless responses to
fabrications.

By all the well-informed acounts of the the book which I have read I
would only peruse it as a study in the nature of hyperbolic
distortions and outright fabrications.
