No, LaBute made a suspense thriller ("The Wicker Man"), not a slasher
film. There's a huge difference. "Psycho" is a suspense thriller.
"Friday the 13th" is a slasher film. I wonder if the mistake you make
in combining the two genres isn't the same one others have made about
Dutcher's movie. Maybe it's not a slasher flick at all but merely
some kind of suspense thriller -- which, for that matter, many
elements of "Brigham City" were, too.

I thought we'd reached the pinnacle when people were despairing over
movies they haven't seen. Now we're wringing our hands over movies
that haven't even been MADE yet?!
