I must also state I too love Marvin Payne.

My family grew up watching him in the video version of "Satruday's
Warrior". Even if it is not considered the best version of said
production, we liked it and I think it was beneficial to my kids.

But, more than that, I love Marvin because he's brave enough to be
himself. He, it seems can be both comfortable in almost all aspects of
Mormon society be it with the faithful, fallen and inbetween and
communicate well with each group. He is unapologetic in his beliefs and
who he is, especially in whatever venue he chooses to express it in.....be
it a version of the Proclamation on the Family, writing for Meridian
Magazine, or much to my surprise being able to swear on stage at BYU. But
aside from the mild profanity, he and Scott Bronson were brilliant in
their roles. I think in his own way, he has been a cheerful pioneer these
last many years in arts amongst the Latterday Saints trailblazing and
happily sharing and promoting other fine artists such as Thom Duncan.
(Who is really a softie, despite the bluster).

Marvin has been through a lot of life experiences that many of us have,
yet seems to have learned and grown from these experiences and continued
on.....And he has personally helped my own family privately in a shared
experience and trial that he was able to give invaluable advice on and
help encourage us to hang in there and keep trying and enduring.

It isn't often that one may declare publicly gratitude to a single person,
but I happily take the opportunity to tell Marvin: Thank from the bottom
of our hearts: Gramercy.
