[nuts-list] February 10 Meeting Information

NUTS Members,

This is just a reminder that we will only be holding a short, informal meeting
this evening.

Over the past several years we, as with most of the NUI groups, have experienced
a steady decline in attendance. Without members, and meeting attendees, we
simply do not have a group.

What should you expect in the future? As I recall the distant past it is clear
that our meeting focus has changed. We have moved from a Technical experience to
a Product experience, so this is what we plan to change.

Currently, we are currently planning a series of Technical Discussions that will
hopefully help us to get back to the basics while providing a useful forum to
you, our membership. We will also invite a vendor to many of these meetings.

We will only survive if we all do our part. Remember, this is not my group, or
the board's group for that matter, this is OUR GROUP! We have been fortunate to
have many generous leaders and board members who have invested many thousands of
hours planning and promoting meetings. However we must all do our part by
helping with meeting topic ideas, volunteering, sharing our knowledge and
attending one meeting each month.

At this point your feedback will be critical in helping the group to survive.
Please let me know how we can best serve your needs, and the needs of those you
know who do not attend our meetings. If you have a special topic, or perhaps
product, you feel would have a broad appeal please let us know. If you have
knowledge to share, we would be honored to learn from you!
