The problem about getting in when these stocks take off can be twofold.

First, they go up before we hear about M in Confirmed Rally. This time, about 2 weeks before.
Second, unless we go back and check, it's quite possible that many of these groups were not in the top 20 around mid July when these stocks took off, or even in late July when the rally was confirmed. Also these particular stocks may not have been the #1 and #2 stocks back then.

So unless you have a system (not canslim) that allows earlier entry, you're not catching most of these stocks. That said, maintaining this list is still a very good idea.

Generating lists like this seldom leads to stocks at the proper buy point when we weeks into a rally. Had we been doing it in early July we might have a different story.

One caution is that the top stocks in the top groups are not necessarily at a proper buy point. Many have broken out earlier this year. Only two of 40 on the list are near a proper buy point.



I took the list and cross checked it (took about 15 minutes) with Mike Gibbon's www.breakoutwatch.com site. See attached, which shows all breakouts in the past year (I think FSLY should be FSLR in group 'energy-other.')

So looking at the chart or having another way of determining the proper buy point is needed.
