social) rides
Hi BCCers,
Robert, the C Pace Coordinator here. First, let me say I don't like the
title "C Pace Coordinator." I think of it more as "MMS" coordinator, as in
Moderate, Moderate, Social, meaning moderate pace, moderate distance,
socially oriented rides.
To make sure we have enough of the kinds of rides you want to do, I need
your feedback. I need to know more about the kinds of rides you like and
when you like them to be scheduled.
Please tell me about your favorite mix of rides, including pace, distance,
terrain, level of socialization, and days and times. I've listed some
questions below that I hope will help focus your thinking.
- What percentage of A paced (18 to 22+ mph average speed) rides do you
do? B paced (15 to 18 mph average speed)? C paced (13 to 15 mph average
speed), D paced (10 to 13 mph average speed)?
- Of the last 10 rides you've done, how many were more than 80 miles? 60
to 80 miles? 30 to 60 miles? 20 to 30 miles? Less than 20 miles? Think
about the kind of terrain you rode, too. As we all know, a 30 mile ride up
Big Cottonwood canyon is WAY different than a 30 mile ride in the valley.
- What kind terrain do you prefer? Of the last 10 rides you did, how
many were 1s (Mt Everest)? 2s (Mountains)? 3s (Hilly)? 4s (Mild Hills)?
5s (Flat)?
- What days of the week and times of the day do you like to ride? Of the
last 10 rides you did, how many were weekday mornings? Weekday evenings?
Saturday morning? Saturday afternoon or evening? Sunday morning? Sunday
afternoon or evening?
Thanks for at least reading this. I hope many, many of you will respond.
The more we know about club member ride preferences, the better job we can
do providing the kinds of rides our members prefer.
