Dear members of the CKF coalition,
As you are all aware from our last meeting, we have invited the Department
of Workforce Services, Department of Health, and Office of Education to hold
their first meeting with respect to HB 364, Promotion of Health Care
Coverage with our coalition. Each agency has graciously accepted our
invitation to meet on May 19 at 3pm at our offices (747 East South Temple,
Suite 100, parking is in the rear underground off of J street).
Please mark your calendars to be in attendance that day to offer input from
your experiences on how these valuable health programs can be better
promoted to children in our state.
In an effort to start everyone's mind thinking about this topic, I emailed
our national affiliate's listserv asking how other states use their schools
and public agencies to promote public health insurance programs. You will
find in the PDF attachment the responses from around the country (the
important things are highlighted).
Thank you for all your work, and I look forward to seeing you on May 19.
