One shipping method that most people overlook is Greyhound bus. They do
carry freight and cheaper than most. You can get a lot of stuff in a modest
sized box. Take it to the nearest Greyhound station and ship it to the station
nearest your destination, where you can pick it up on your arrival. Do the
same when you leave and ship it back home. My wife and I moved from San Fran
38 years ago and shipped everything via bus. Something to consider after
checking prices.
