Dear Members of the CKF Coalition,
I am writing to ask members of the coalition who may be available to attend
a coalition meeting on April 7 from 3-430pm. This meeting day is not the
norm, but having recently concluded the session and with the upcoming
Covering the Uninsured Week, April 27-May 3, it would be nice to be able to
meet.
At the meeting, we will discuss the following items:
1. Legislative update: HB 131 (the mini grants), HB 326 (CHIP open
enrollment), and HB 364 (promotion of health care)
2. Ideas around the Covering the Uninsured Week. April 27-May 3.
Specifically piggy backing efforts on the Governor's Early Childhood Summit
(see attached email). Please review it and the documents attached.
We will meet at our offices, 747 East South Temple, Suite 100 (parking in
back and underground off J Street).
Thank you and I hope to see you here.

So here is my idea for the CFK coalition for Covering the Uninsured Week. At
the conference, Voices will have a booth. At the booth, Voices will have
different kinds of publications and data about kids issues. What I was
thinking was that the CFK could do a CHIP Enrollment Fair Tool Kit. It would
consist of a "Welcome Letter" and then other planning items that interested
folks could use to plan an enrollment fair. The coalition would or could
also advertise "How the Covering Kids and Families Coalition Can Help." I
have attached a rough version that you can look at.
For the actual distribution, I think we could do a folder with a printed CKF
label saying: "Tool Kit, yada yada." Then we could print the welcome letter,
and burn the other docs onto a CD and print nice labels for it.
This would all be in an effort for Business, Agencies, etc. that attend to
host an enrollment fair at their offices. Then the CFK could help them plan
it and so on.
What do you think?
