which encourages the study of the practical and professional dimensions of
interdisciplinary ethics. This study includes pedagogy, scholarship, and

studies, journalism, law, literature, medicine, philosophy, public health,

The 2008-2009 University Faculty Fellow in Ethics will receive a stipend of
$7,000. The stipend may be used at the Fellow¹s discretion for hiring
research assistants, purchasing books and other research materials, travel
related to the research, working in cooperation with the department Chair
and/or Dean to hire an adjunct in order to reduce teaching load, and so
forth.

One Fellow is appointed per academic year.

The Fellowship may be held during a sabbatical or non-sabbatical year.

* Potential contribution to UVSC faculty, students, and community.

Expected Activities (Performance Measures)

The University Faculty Fellow in Ethics is expected to promulgate the

discussion. This includes, but is not limited to:

* Deliver the annual University Ethics Faculty Fellow Keynote Address during
Ethics Awareness Week following the academic year of the Fellowship;
* Submit for publication at least 2 articles in a peer-reviewed journal in
the Fellow¹s discipline, and/or make significant progress in the completion
