MARKETING, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AWARD NOMINATIONS SOUGHT
CUNA Council seeks names of top professionals by Dec. 12

MADISON, Wis. - Credit union professionals in marketing and business
development will be honored for their outstanding service to credit unions
through two prestigious awards sponsored by the CUNA Marketing and Business
Development Council.

The Council is now accepting nominations for the awards until Dec. 12, 2003.

The awards, for Business Development Professional of the Year and Marketing
Professional of the Year, will be conferred at the 2004 CUNA Marketing &
Business Development Council Conference March 10 - 13, in Miami Beach, Fla.

The business development award will be given to the individual who
exemplifies excellence in credit union business development, including
membership expansion, while maintaining a strong focus on the ideals of the
credit union movement. Award selection will be based on nominees' mastery
of:

* Business development as a factor in their credit union's success
* Fostering the success of the credit union movement
* Enhancing their community through organizational involvement/activism

The marketing award recognizes the industry professional who has achieved
new heights in credit union marketing, while keeping in mind the founding
principles of the movement. Judges will base this award on:
* Marketing as a factor in their credit union's success
* Marketing as a management function
* Fostering the success of the credit union movement
* Enhancing the community through organizational involvement/activism

Two separate panels comprised of Council executive committee members, past
winners, and industry professionals will choose winners for both awards. The
Council nominating committee will contact nominees. If the nominee is
interested in competing for an award, he or she must submit an entry no
later than Jan. 16, 2004. Descriptions and entry forms for both awards are
